  • Identify two goals of treatment for head and neck cancer and compare and contrast standard therapy for early and advanced head and neck tumors.
  • Describe recent advances in treatment for head and neck cancer, including improvements in surgery and radiation therapy and the use of chemotherapy.
  • Compare and contrast the advantages and disadvantages of standard therapy, induction chemotherapy, and concurrent chemotherapy in patients with head and neck cancer.
  • Name an investigational therapy for head and neck cancer and explain its mechanism of action.
