Title of Activity: Spring into 2010- With SOHN!
Target Audience: ORL nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who seek an opportunity to enrich their knowledge and experience in ORL practice, patient care of adults and children and value networking with colleagues.
Program Purposes and Goals: Provide an educational program opportunity for ORL clinicians to update knowledge of key otolaryngology issues affecting adults, children and families, present new technology or research and enable collegial networking.
Program Objectives: This program is designed that the participants will be able to:
- Examine a variety of ORL-HN disorders with a focus on management.
- Discuss new advances in the management of select adult pediatric ORL problem/disorders.
- Describe the nursing and practice implications in providing care to patients across the age continuum and their families with the ORL problems presented at the meeting.
- Initiate development of innovative strategies for patients/families with ORL problems.
- Promote networking with ORL colleagues.
Accreditation: The Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Head Nurses, Inc as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation (COA). The maximum Contact Hours attainable for this program are eight hours.
Fees: $65 for SOHN members and $90 for non-SOHN members. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided at the program. There will also be vendors displaying products and information related to Otorhinolaryngology. Please bring a sweater or light jacket.

Directions:
From both north and south on I-85 proceed to Clairmont Rd (Exit 91). Turn to the east (toward Decatur) and proceed on Clairmont Rd for approximately 3 miles to North Decatur Rd. Turn right on North Decatur Rd and proceed for approximately 1 mile to the Clifton Rd. Turn right on Clifton Rd. At the second traffic light you will see a large blue sign for The Emory Clinic (Buildings A and B) which is on your right, and across Clifton Rd from Emory University Hospital. Turn right at this light on to Lower Gate Drive. The Emory Clinic Buildings A is adjacent to Clifton Rd on the left side of Lower Gate Drive. Building C is behind Building A and set back from Lower Gate Drive. Building B is on the right. Immediately past Building B you will see signs directing you into the Visitor Parking Deck, which is on the right side of Lower Gate Drive. Once you have parked take the elevators to level A. Building C is across the street from the visitor parking deck. A sign for the Winship Cancer Center-Building C is visible from street level.
Parking in the Emory Clinic/Emory Hospital Visitor Parking Deck is about $7/day. Valet
Parking is not available at The Emory Clinic on Saturday.
