**Students must become a SOHN member and upload their proof of enrollment to attend at the student rate. This rate applies for pre-licensure students without a license to practice. Doctoral students who are licensed nurses are not eligible for the student rate.

***The Pharmacology Day and Comprehensive ORL and Head-Neck Nursing Course will both be held concurrently on September 29th. If you would like to attend both sessions, you may purchase both, attend the Comprehensive ORL and Head-Neck Nursing Course in person, and then receive the Pharmacology Day content virtually when available.


Virtual Content

Want to participate but can't make it in person? No problem! Registrants will be able to asynchronously participate virtually*, and will be able to access all educational presentations 1-2 weeks after the conference has concluded. An email will be sent to registrants with instructions on how to view and submit their evaluation. Please note: The Comprehensive ORL and Head-Neck Nursing Course will only be offered in-person only. It will not be available virtually.

SOHN will make every effort to provide virtual attendees access to all podium presentations, however circumstances beyond our control may prevent some in-person presentations from being available in the virtual library.

*Please note that virtual-only participants will not receive live recordings from Congress, and content will not include social events such as the Opening Ceremonies, President's Reception, Poster Reception, etc. Videos will be pre-recorded with speakers and Powerpoint slides.

Accreditation

SOHN is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Criteria for the awarding of contact hours is based on 60 minutes per contact hour. Contact hours are awarded based on attendance and completion of an evaluation form at the end of the presentation(s).  Evaluations must be completed upon completion of the program to obtain Continuing Education Contact Hours and certificate of completion.  The formal certificate will be e-mailed to you by our National Headquarters.

SOHN Comprehensive ORL and Head-Neck Nursing Course

Friday, September 29th from 8am to 5:30pm

This content-rich nine-hour course provides a comprehensive exploration of ear, nose, and throat disorders and their management. The course will review anatomy, common disorders, etiology, symptoms, diagnostic evaluation, and management. The course is designed to enhance and reinforce your current knowledge base and allow you to identify areas of weakness that may require further focus and learning. The course is ideal for the advance practice nurse practicing in otolaryngology or for the seasoned ORL nurse seeking a thorough review.
Price: $350 for the entire course. 

Special Interest Group Meetings

Saturday, September 30th from 4:20 to 6:25pm

ORL Nursing covers a wide range of Subspecialties each of which present a special set of skills and unique knowledge base.  SOHN special interest groups (SIG) will link you with other members practicing your designated subspecialty.  All SIGS will be meeting at Congress.  Join a SIG and share your ideas and gain new information. 

Presidents Reception

Saturday, September 30th from 7:00 to 10:00 pm

Y'all are invited to the President's Reception at Ole Red Nashville, a Blake Shelton owned restaurant. Join us for an evening filled with great company and even better vibes.  Tickets for the Presidents Reception include a delicious dinner, beverages, and line dancing instruction.  After the event, feel free to venture out to the main stage and enjoy live music throughout the night.  Don’t forget to embrace your inner cowboy or cowgirl with Western wear.  Dust off your boots and feel free to sport your favorite cowboy hat and attire.

ENT-NF Fun Run/Walk – Stepping Forward with the Foundation

Sunday, October 1 at 6:45 am
Rise and shine and walk for the Ear, Nose, and Throat Nursing Foundation (ENT-NF).  Join your fellow attendees for a casual fun walk through beautiful Centennial Park featuring the iconic Parthenon replica.  Invite colleagues family and friends to sponsor your walk.  Chapter members join the Chapter Challenge and walk for the Foundation.  All proceeds will go directly to the ENT-NF foundation to fund Scholarships, Lectureships, ORL Education and Research.  Each participant will receive a limited edition 2023 Foundation T-shirt.

CORLN Luncheon

Sunday, October 1 from 12:10 to 1:15 pm 

The CORLN Lunch is Sponsored by the National Certifying Board for Otorhinolaryngoloy and Head-Neck Nurses (NCBOHN) We are proud of our CORLNs! This lunch is a time for fellow CORLNs from around the country to gather and enjoy a special luncheon exclusively for them.  At the lunch, new officers will be installed as well as a chance to learn what is happing in your association.  Please bring two test questions to add to our test item bank.

Poster Reception

Sunday, October 1 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm

Come meet the poster presenters as they discuss their Research, evidence-based practice, educational and clinical initiative posters.  Light appetizers will be served as well as a cash bar. 
Price: Free to all attendees.  No registration is required.  2 drink tickets can be purchased in advance for $10

ENT-NF Raffle

Monday, October 2 from 9:05 to 9:45 am

Don't forget to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win fabulous prizes that were generously donated to raise money for the Ear, Nose, and Throat Nursing Foundation (ENT-NF).  Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the event and the drawing will take place on Monday morning.  All proceeds to directly to the ENT-NF.
